JW Marriott Charlotte
I was here for a work function a couple of weeks ago. While I did not stay in the hotel on this trip, I still wanted to comment on the stunning view from the rooftop bar. It had a great vibe with ample, comfy seating, and fire pits. This was all perfect to help wind down and view a spectacular sunset in Charlotte. I can see myself bringing my wife here for vacation and dinner on the rooftop. The drinks, food, and service were really great as well. Looking forward to the next time.
Let me tell you how much I enjoyed my stay at the JW! The staff was excellent, their restaurants were fabulous, the rooms were immaculate. The best part was the staff- always smiling and helpful. Even upon checkout Kendra Johnson and Andrew Allen were so pleasant, and thanked me several times and welcomed me back! I have stayed at the Bellagio in Vegas, which is pretty sweet, but these guys make you feel like a VIP each day! Thank you for a great visit to Charlotte!! Keep up the great work! We will be back!
Lovely new JW Marriott. Our Suite was very comfortable, thank you for the wonderful upgrade. Though it could have used a Make Up Mirror in the bathroom, but don't worry, I accidently left mine for the next guest. I giggled that it had a make up chair, but no make up mirror. I loved, loved, love the elevators once I got the hang of it. Very Cool concept. It totally took away from scouting to see which elevator opened and actually made it a fun conversation. Which car is yours? They were quick too. The beds were comfortable. The Club Level was beautifully decorated but disappointing. They don't serve liquor on Mondays and when they do it's only cheap wine that you can buy. Go figure, no one in the Club Level when I was their, but the bar downstairs was totally packed. I didn't go back, so I can't comment on anything about the Club Level food or staff. My experience was hands down. The restaurant downstairs was wonderful and the server was adorable.
Inviting hotel starting with a warm welcome by valet who hands you off to the most pleasant front desk staff who gets you checked in and walks you to your elevator. Restaurants are professionally managed and food is fantastic. I recommend the Oyster Bar and Deans for good food and great service. Rooms are fantastic, clean and modern. Cleaning staff are polite and very efficient. Looking forward too coming back in August 2023.
The hospitality service was excellent! We checked in with Kendra Johnson and she went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great stay! Her smile, knowledge, and enthusiasm for being there really made our stay even better! We had questions about what to do in the area and she provided excellent recommendations. As a platinum member we have never been treated this well before by any other Marriott employee. This was such a pleasant surprise. Next time we come to Charlotte, North Carolina we will definitely stay here again and ask for Kendra!
Nice stay at the JW Marriott. Restaurants on site are both great, and the rooftop bar is nice but doesn't have much of a view. Bartenders and hosts are always friendly. Reservations at the restaurants recommended on the weekends or holiday. Rooms are a good size. Our room overlooked the pool and rooftop. Got a great deal for our stay, would definitely stay again if can catch another deal.
I stayed at the JW Marriott Charlotte for two days in June 2023 for business meetings I had in the area. My stay was fine until I forgot my Dyson hair dryer in my room upon check out. I realized I had left it less than 36 hours after I checked out, and I figured it would be easy enough to get back, as this is an upscale (apparently 4.5 star) hotel and I was sure they assist guests in similar situations all the time! Unfortunately I was wrong on that- I have been given the runaround from multiple employees I've spoken with on the phone, and somehow my Dyson has "not been located". I could understand a piece of jewelry or a smaller item not being located, but how could a whole entire hair dryer "not be located"? Sadly this has led me to believe that it was stolen by a member of housekeeping instead of being turned in after my room was cleaned out. I am not the first person to leave something behind and certainly won't be the last. So please bear my experience in mind if you are considering this hotel for a stay and are bringing expensive items with you! Additionally, please do not be fooled by the warm service you receive when you are staying at the hotel- once they get your money they could care less about you.
I'm totally impressed by this particular hotel. I think the room I had was immaculate. Even the bathroom resembled something closely resembling luxury. I was even escorted to the elevator by the front desk clerk. Internet was faster than most hotels. Definitely a better experience than the last time I tried to stay at a Marriott hotel by way of Bonvoy; where my reservation and online check-in were cancelled once I arrived at the location from the airport (Courtyard Charlotte Airport/Billy Graham Parkway). Will definitely be back
We originally booked an airbnb for our weekend in Charlotte. Our arrangements got canceled at the last minute, so we called the hotel in a panic. Amanda was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. She took extra time to help us secure a room with a really reasonable rate (literally waited for us to download the Bonvoy app and navigated us through it). I cannot sing her praises enough. The hotel itself was gorgeous and comfortable. The staff we encountered in the hotel, steakhouse, and oyster bar were all attentive, professional, and friendly. This will absolutely be my go to whenever I visit Charlotte.
Stayed here for a business trip in April of this year, was my first time with the JW Marriot. Beautifully decorated, very nice comfortable rooms, great breakfast, executive lounge was nice for evening snacks. Pool and fitness center were top notch. Restaurants within made finding food easy. Valet crew and front desk staff were very courteous and polite. Highly recommend.
