I remember as a child, when my family could not afford staying at a Hilton hotel, how the Hilton name was a beacon of fine service and hospitality. It was something to be aspired. As an adult, I found myself able to indulge in Hilton service and accommodation. And then today... After prepaying the premium night rate that Hilton quality demands, I arrived to learn no one was available to help with the bags. Housekeeping service is unavailable. Room service no longer is offered. Long story short, I could have stayed at a Ramada and saved money. This is a travesty of the once majestic Hilton name. If anyone from corporate reads this, Baron is rolling over in his grave. Frankly, other than a well-styled Lobby, once you get into the room, it's indistinguishable from a Ramada room. It's one thing to cut amenities, but to still charge a luxury premium is distasteful. Dear Hilton representatives, please advise a true luxury hotel at which I can stay in my future travels to Charlotte?

This is a great hotel to stay. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. Due to my status I was upgraded to a very nice room without asking. Perfect location if you like upscale dining within a 5-10 minute walk.

The stay was great. Service was awesome. We were in walking distance for the football game. Complimentary breakfast should have been offered. Had to wait a while for breakfast to be cooked with very little variety. Breakfast was expensive but good.

Although a beautiful hotel with convenient access to the city, my stay was marred by the fact that the walls between the rooms are paper thin. My neighbors were not being intentionally loud - I'm quite certain they were talking at their normal talking volume. Unfortunately, their talking was combined with being excited about their discussion and trying to over talk the volume of their television. This resulted in me either 1) turning up the volume on my TV as not to be forced to hear their conversation or 2) succumb to tolerating their blaring TV and voices. Little sleep was gotten my first night as I was subjected to listening to the televised fight and their commentary. I won't be going back to this Hilton.

We came to the area on a last minute day trip. I normally have great stays at Hilton hotels, but I was disappointed with a few things during our stay. I usually book in advance but didnt with this stay because like I said, it was last minute. My husband walked into the hotel to book the room for us initially, and he asked for a king room which we had saw on the Hilton app as available. Mackenzie at the front desk told him that they were oversold for the night and they didnt have any more king rooms available. She was extremely rude and told him he needed to go ahead and book it online if he saw it online. Also they told him there was no Hilton honors discount available as well. It was as if she didnt want to be bothered. So I ended up booking through the app, which wasnt a problem. I booked a king room with a Hilton honors rate, so it seemed like the front desk lied to my husband, which wasnt a good look professionally. I had no problems checking into my unavailable room, but I also wasnt greeted when I went to checked in. Also no water or snack was offered. Customer service tainted our stay from the beginning. Also, we had no option to self park, but the valet was TERRIBLE. That night they actually misplaced someones keys. People was outside fussing at the valet. It just looked really bad. When they got us our car, my radio had been changed and box left in the passenger seat had been opened. The line was long waiting for them as well. My husband decided to ask for our keys back because they were unorganized & looked like they went through our car! We were still charged $30 for valet. At checkout, there was 50+ people waiting in the line for their cars in the lobby, which I know Sundays are busy checkout days, (I use to work front desk at a hotel) but they need a better system. That was ridiculous. Overall, I wont be coming back to that property.
