Saw An Officer and a Gentleman play. Re. the storyline it wasn't anything like the movie. The quality of the acting reminded me of a high school musical. Not a fan. If you go get fully vaccinated and wear a mask. Seating is like a high school auditorium as well, crowded with your neighbor's seat and attached to you.

LOVED the venue! Modern and clean! Sleek, grey walls and wooden seats. The smell reminded me of a high school auditorium. Lol. The lighting was great and we had JUST enough room in our seats. We were Orchestra section, row N, so we had a decent view of the stage and comedians. Acoustics and sound were awesome. The bar out front (serving M&Ms, chips, beer, wine and soft drinks) kept up the pace with all the people in line. Bartenders were on point! Lots of ushers to help direct and get us seated. There were also several stalls in the ladies room, which scores serious points (the line moved fairly quickly.) Overall, a really great experience! My only complaint is that they required everyone to wear a mask in, but if people were eating and drinking they could take them off while doing so. Those folks never put them back on and once others saw them without their masks on, they in turn took theirs off, too. Very few people were actually wearing masks by 20 minutes into the show. I wish I could give this review a 4.5 or 4.7, but I'm reluctantly going with a 5 because everything else was so good!

We saw Home Free Vocal Band December 5, 2021. My husband and I both have had recent health issues and were excited we were able to travel the 3 hour trip from Bristol VA. First problem I had was downloading the tickets. A super nice lady retuned my call to assist me. WONDERFUL CHAT WITH HER! I think her name was Joyce. Could not have been nicer! I use a scooter but can walk the short distance to my seat. Very helpful ladies found a place to park the scooter and helped us to our seats. Later they learned I parked it in an area the fire marshal would not approve. They knew where we were seated. Instead of asking us to move the scooter they ask for the key and moved it for me. WOW! EXCELLENT SERVICE! After the show a wonderful lady (I think she was the theater director) came to our seats and offered to get the scooter and bring it to me. She even apologized for having to move it! I assured her I could walk to it. My husband and I thanked her and complimented the all around excellent care we had received. She told us she and her staff strive for customer service and we definitely received it in excess! From the return phone call the night before to the folks outside directing traffic. Everyone we came in contact with made sure we were safe and taken care of. We knew the show would be awesome. We are big fans of Home Free, and to be treated like royalty while at the beautiful auditorium was AWESOMELY AWESOME! We highly recommend Oven Auditorium! I would give 100 stars, a million stars for this theater!

Took my niece out for her first grown up theater experience to see Wicked. I love going to Ovens Auditorium for concerts and other events. There isnt a bad seat in the house. I purchased ticket in the orchestra section row EE center which was right in front of the lighting/sound boards so my 9 year old could stand to see without causing issues. She truly enjoyed the show and is looking forward to seeing Mean Girls next. I made sure we arrived early so was able to secure a good parking space. Also was able to hit the restroom well before showtime so we didnt need to try and fight the crush at intermission.
