I enjoyed my family double date night with my niece and nephew. This was my first time here and I was not disappointed. The dumpling lady! The Velvet tacos! All I will say is great vibes, food, and drinks. Kid friendly as well. We came home and told the kids how we could not wait to go back as a family.
This is a very unique space (formerly industrial). There are multiple food choices throughout as well as seating indoors and out. When we were there a live music artist was setting up outside to play. There are a lot of picnic tables outside that are uncovered as what appears to be overflow seating. I think it would seem a bit more intentional if they were placed such that they weren't all slanted down hill and on top of each other. There could be some stabilizing footers to help even up as well as perhaps a few umbrellas. We chose the food venue that had specialty grilled cheese sandwich which were wonderful! I don't have experience with any other options. The inside is loud and somewhat crowded at high traffic times, but you can move with ease and they give you a buzzer to let you know when your order is ready. Parking is a bit of a challenge. Because they can handle feeding a lot of people, a lot of people are drawn there (with good reason!) so be patient trying to find a spot. If you're short on time or in a hurry, this place isn't for you. If you have time to linger and enjoy the atmosphere, do it! Overall, I recommend it, especially if it's a nice day and you can sit outside.
Overall a great concept for eating out with friends that want different cuisine options. A little trendy, younger crowd...good for the surrounding apartments. I am more accustomed to sit down restaurants with really good food and service. It is dog friendly, cute dog treat store inside. Some people don't like dogs when they're eating but at this mall food court feel it is accepted. Probably won't be a second visit but the people were nice and we went to 5 different restaurants there.
It was my first trip to Optimist hall. The flow and decorum was industrial, minimalist and comfortable. I loved that you can bring a nice group with you and there is space to seat your party. The deck and lower seating area provides plenty of space and shade. All this is a blessing as people can eat and congregate while socially distant from one another. The selection of food to chose from is nice and diverse, but a bit on the pricey side for "street" style cuisine. It's a nice place to go out with the family or friends to have a bite, beverage and a chance to people watch. There are a few non food item shops and may be more, since I only hit one section of the Hall on the second floor. Over all a great place to visit
Optimist Hall is by far our favorite family spot. We love the trendy look, chill atmosphere and plentiful seating and food option. My kiddos even love going. They love picking a table and making themselves at home. Theres so many food options. Bathrooms are clean and close by. Parking may seem hard but worth it. Just keep making laps, people are constantly leaving. The outside atmosphere is so fun. We love this place!
