Attendance Building Assets
Your attendees will fall in love with the Queen City
For groups with 1,200 room nights on peak or higher, let our team assist in building attendance and interest in your event with one of the following distinctive marketing approaches. Talk to your Destination Services Manager for more information.
REGISTRATION POSTCARD
Build excitement for your attendees with a personal touch. We will design and print a customized inspirational postcard with the details of your upcoming convention in Charlotte and build a royal appetite that can only be satisfied in the Queen City.
LET THE LOCALS DO THE TALKING
We know your local committee members have been attending your convention for years and are eager for it to come to Charlotte. Invite these members to represent Charlotte at the preceding year’s convention. We’ll ship city-branded materials, collateral, giveaways and a Charlotte-themed raffle prize to the show for committee members to use.
SOCIAL MEDIA TOOLKIT & TAKEOVER
Inspire your attendees through the power of social media! We’re ready to supply you with fun facts and awe-inspiring scenes and cityscapes that are sure to build the hype. Charlotte will provide you with pre-planned social media posts for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram geared toward increasing registration and housing. The toolkit will also include the option for a Charlotte “takeover,” where you can use pre-planned posts to promote the city for a specific period of time. The toolkit will include a series of giveaway posts tied to registration or housing, where followers will have the chance to win a Charlotte prize pack by participating. You can gain access to the toolkit and much more from our digital library.
CONFERENCE SUPPORT
Need a last-minute sponsor for the preceding year’s convention? Charlotte can assist by contributing funds to the event in order to subsidize the cost of an unsold sponsorship. Our team will connect with you directly to determine the customized support you need.
CHARLOTTE PREVIEW
A representative from Charlotte will attend the preceding year’s convention for up to two days. The representative will be on-site to educate attendees, distribute promotional materials and provide a giveaway. The association must provide a 10x10 booth on the show floor, carpet, furniture and electricity. Freight charges (incurred by the decorator) and the cost of one hotel room for three nights must also be covered. In addition, we ask for two to three minutes during a convention gathering to showcase our destination video.
