Watershed Charlotte

Attended a new church Watershed Charlotte today. Let me begin with saying I have been searching for an intimate and smaller church that is dedicated to accept everyone with Grace and Compassion. The praise team was excellent and the people welcoming me as a newcomer were very kind, gentle and loving! Cedric Lundy was the speaker and the man spoke from his heart. I have been inspired because since finding my way back to our one true Shepherd I have endured pain and pray for broken relationships to heal. I just want to keep giving my heart to our God! From giving my life back to the one true king I know with all my heart we are His people , the sheep of His Pasture.

A wonderful place to re-engage your faith, or continue growing it, in the context of accepting people who humbly want to be more loving, merciful, and compassionate. Affirming, accepting, and loving. A great space for families, individuals, and everyone in between.

My family and I attended Watershed Church for the first time and we were instantly sure that we will be back. Weve been searching for a church home since we moved to Charlotte last year and after our experience yesterday, I feel like we may have found it. Every person we came in contact with was welcoming, kind, helpful, and seemed genuinely committed to making our first-time visit a good one. The sermon was so well done: engaging, conversational, authentic and exactly what I needed to hear in that moment. Our kids absolutely loved the childrens ministry; they made connections, had so much fun, and all 3 of them walked away begging to come back next week. To be able to worship in a place that is not only progressive, but affirming and inclusive to ALL is exactly what we have been searching for and I feel so hopeful that Watershed is it. If youre looking for a church where you can come as you are and feel not only accepted, but celebrated: then youve found it.

I started going here a year ago and can probably count on one hand the amount of times I haven't gone and even then I watched it on social media. I love it here.

I church shopped endlessly after moving to Charlotte and kept ending up back at the first church I ever visited in Charlotte - Watershed. This is a progressive and affirming church that walks the walk. There is an incredible sense of community, and the leadership are genuine and open. They dont claim to have all the answers, and they encourage everyone to ask the tough questions and explore their faith openly and authentically. If youre looking for an old school read straight from scripture for an hour and walk away feeling confused and uninspired church experience, this isnt it. The pastors take scripture and apply in the context of the present. Every service resonates with me and gives me renewed purpose as I enter a new week. I also love the Blocs, which are the small community gatherings amongst members of the church. I have developed some incredible friendships and love the support Ive received. There is no better church in the Southeastand Im pretty sure Ive been to them all
