McColl Center is a historic venue in the north end of Uptown Charlotte, with unique neo-Gothic architecture on the outside and spectacular contemporary design on the inside. The exposed steel beams and brick, artful walls, celestial windows, and tall ceilings make it a stunning space for events of all kinds.

Great places are created by great people. And so it is with McColl. I had the opportunity to be partner of a visiting artist and participate in the life of the McColl Center. Numerous events, performances, exhibitions, very interesting studios and, above all, people! It's worth taking a moment to get to know the program of events, because the art and culture in Uptown seems to be holding up very well! Thank you very much for your hospitality and greetings to the whole team!

Once again the McColl Center for Art and Innovation put on a spectacular opening, bringing people together to celebrate art, culture, each others humanness and brought out spirited and passionate conversations! The art was worthy of ushering the Center into the new year in grand style, a mix of performance and static art around the topic of Mythos. There was camaraderie, engagement, entertainment, celebration and community, emphasizing the unity in community. It pushed me to think about the myths I have clothed myself in from childhood, stories of religious and societal norms, heroes and demons that I too should wear, imprint upon myself. It made me wonder how others saw me as a result, challenged my current beliefs as well and how I perceive the old me. Finally there are good people that are passionate about the Center and the people who walk through the doors giving life to the building, happy voices echoing from the battered brick walls that have touched and been touched by so many! There is a genuine warmth, a welcoming, a belonging for every person that walks through the doors. How long until you visit? Dont wait!

A wonderful experience and great place for private events. Each art room provides a wonderful space for Creatives to do what they are gifted to do.

Great art gallery, in my opinion the art on the top floor is the best and the reason to go. The setting is cool
